Equuvation Inc. has jumped head-first into a number of innovative projects, designed to propel the therapeutic equine industry into a place of sustainability, efficiency, positivity and educational opportunity.



EFP {Equine-facilitated Psychotherapy} and EAL {Equine-assisted Learning} offered by licensed and/or certified professionals, as well as PATH Intl. Certified Equine Specialists; and are designed to positively impact personal growth and development. In addition to creation of these programs, Equuvation works to support other local centers offering EFP and EAL.

The Discovery Trail

An equine-accessible, multi-dimensional outdoor sensory experience intended for therapeutic and educational use. The mission is to create an environment for guests of all ages and abilities to: experience the outdoors in a safe and delightful way; reach for and achieve therapeutic and educational goals; and have an opportunity to learn from, and develop a relationship with horses. Nature-based Wellness Retreats and Educational Classes also hosted here.


Spark* Scholarships

A scholarship program for young riders (age 21 and under) in any discipline who exemplify sportsmanship, horsemanship, a desire to learn, work hard and show stewardship in our equestrian communities. Annual clinic, lesson and competition mini-grants are awarded based on an application, audition and review process to riders who are working with an OTTB or rescue/rehab equine towards their personal goals.

A library of resources for participants and professionals in the field of developing and sustaining non-profit equine business. Includes, but is not limited to, a custom database platform, program forms, legal templates, marketing plans, special event recipes, sensory trail plans, learning tools, visual aids, curriculums and more. Services and materials will be available free of charge to qualified non-profit organizations.


Therapeutic Horsemanship

A holistic approach to developing a relationship with horses, our therapeutic horsemanship program combines elements of equine-assisted learning {groundwork} and therapeutic riding {mounted}. Participants benefit from an innovative curriculum which includes communication skills; daily horse care, grooming, tacking and foundational vaulting and riding skills.

Lifecycle of the Horse

An ongoing educational experience that fully explores the Lifecycle of the Horse – from breeding to birth, weaning to handling, early training, “first job,” competitive careers, change in ownership, injuries, retirement and death. Discover how our human interaction with horses has changed the timeline and cycle of these animals, for better and for worse; and how we can do a better job of caring for their needs – physically, mentally, socially, emotionally.


The Art of Learning

A unique continuing education series combining a keynote clinician, additional lunchtime workshop and original artist – all for a day of learning, networking and enjoying the equestrian and creative talents of our industry. One inaugural event to be hosted November 11, 2016; followed by two events in 2017. No charge to attend for professionals and/or participants in the field. CEU credits apply for PATH Intl. Therapeutic Instructors and Equine Specialists.


Nature-based Retreats

Nature-based Wellness Retreats are customized events with a set schedule and measurable outcomes; hosted by educators, life coaches, therapists and facilitators for the purpose of positive outcomes and change, as well as respite and self-care. Set upon the backdrop of Equuvation’s naturally-rich facility, retreats are the perfect way to enjoy the herd. Retreats may include EAL sessions if requested at the time of planning.



An equine facilitated learning intervention for youth, designed to target skills of self-regulation, communication, self-advocacy, empathy, responsibility and self-awareness. In collaboration with Triple Play Farm, COMPASS seeks to serve those youth who may be considered “at risk”, creating a path to positive behavior through adolescence and early adulthood.


Junior Leadership Council

New for 2018, the Junior Leadership Council is a younger extension of our Board of Directors. Youth and teens who have shown a passion for giving back to their communities, and exemplify kindness, compassion and an interest in the equine industry, were recruited to form this inaugural group. Junior Leadership Council members will have the opportunity to weigh in on issues affecting the organization, grow or launch programs and receive mentorship.


Signature Events

The creation and implementation of unique event concepts, aimed to promote awareness of the horse-human connection, equine-assisted therapies; and to raise funds in support Equuvation's programs and that of other regional organizations. Nonprofit Meeting Space

In the spirit of collaboration, we welcome other qualified non-profit organizations to host their board or council meetings at our facility. For groups up to 20 people, we can easily accommodate meetings that last a few hours, half-day, full-day or multi-day. We can assist in facilitating catering and other outdoor and nature-based activities to enhance your agenda, including grooming horses or exploring The Discovery Trail.
