Reading-at-the-Ranch
Join us in reading a book to our wonderful therapy animals!
Part of our Outdoor Educational program, Reading-at-the-Ranch and Books-at-Bushel-Barns are open to students of all ages and aims to encourage reading and communication skills, public speaking and community literacy, as well as foster a connection with animals.
Participants may bring a book of their own, select one from our library, or even bring schoolwork that they might need help with!
We are looking for volunteers to help with R-A-R! Contact us today!

Do you love reading -and- animals?! Plan to join us this year at our primary center in Statesville or at our “sister farm” Bushel Barns in Pfafftown (a suburb of Winston-Salem) to read books with horses, donkeys, goats, and more! Part of Equuvation’s Outdoor Educational program,✨Reading at the Ranch✨and ✨Books at Bushel Barns✨are open to students of all ages and aims to encourage reading and communication skills, public speaking, community literacy, and a connection with animals. Free to attend; books & snacks provided. RSVP required.

Event may be cancelled for weather. All registered participants will be contacted re: weather the day of the event.
No cost to attend.
All ages are welcome! Families, siblings, friends—please leave your pets at home!
Closed toe shoes are REQUIRED.
